Oh, I'm so sorry about that ... about that little scene a while ago, everyone! I'm sure it's all going to work out just fine for everyone involved, and there's no need to worry. It looks like everyone is already mostly forgetting about it! ... that's good, right! That's good!

Has everyone tried the stuffed crabs? I oversaw them myself! Oh, and the fig pudding? I tried a bite before everyone showed up and it was so good! If you hadn't tried some, you should, now!

And -- and does anyone have any comment on the music? Too fast, too slow? Be sure to dance! Everyone should be dancing, you'll have a good time!

I wish I were brave enough to write to Karlesta, again. She is not looking very good.

Is it awful of me that I'm just worried she might ruin my party? ... she always ruined everything when I was with my friends, with her temper. She'd throw her fits and I'd have to apologize for her and try and make everybody like her again and ...

... I shouldn't think like that. That's not ... that's not gracious. It doesn't matter what Lady Mother says. I remember what Daddy used to say, when I said something bad about Karlesta. I think he was the one who was right.
